If you wish to reprogram a key definition, MultiView 2000 allows you to do so easily.

To reprogram a key definition, go to Configure/Terminal and select the Keyboard folder and Configure.

You will click on the key in question (in this example F9) and on the right-side of the window you will see the
“map definition” shows up as “F9”. To delete this default definition, right click on the
F9 which shows up in the map definition box. Select “delete map” to eliminate the standard definition.

To then program the key, it can either be set as a standard terminal key, in which case you can click on the key shown
in the lower panel. Or you can program the key to send a particular sequence. To do this, click on the Sequence button
and input the values required. If you need to program a Control character sequence, you will input the octal value. Octal
equivalent values are shown below. For example, if you wanted to program the F9 key to send Escape H Control C, the
sequence would show up as: \EH\003.

When you have programmed the keys as you wish, click on Close. Then remember to save the definitions in the .zzt file
by selecting File > Save.
