Which emulation(s) are supported by DCS/CE? |
| |
DynaComm Connectivity Series for Windows CE (DCS/CE) emulations include ADDS VP/60, ANSI-BBS (with SCO ANSI
extensions), AT&T 4425, AT&T 605/705, Digital VT-Series, TN3270, TN5250, Tandem 6530, TeleVideo 925/950
and Wyse 50/60.

2) |
Is printing supported? |
| |
DCS/CE 2.0 does not support printing. Printing support is currently dependent upon the print drivers that are available on individual Windows CE-powered devices. DCS/CE 3.0 does support printing.

6) |
How is DCS/CE loaded? |
| |
DCS/CE follows the Microsoft installation procedures required for Windows CE logo certification. DCS/CE is
shipped electronically or on diskette and is initially installed onto your companion desktop or laptop PC. If your
Windows CE-powered device is connected at the time of installation, DCS/CE will be automatically installed onto the
device. If a connection does not exist at the time of installation, DCS/CE will be automatically installed the next
time a connection is made.

How can I decrease the DCS/CD footprint on my Windows CE-powered device? |

Below is a table showing the names of files that may be deleted when the corresponding connector or emulator
is not required. Deleting unnecessary files will free up memory for other applications.

Notes:
-
ANSI-BBS is the default emulator. As such, this file should NOT be deleted.
-
The VT-Series and AT&T 605 emulation file (vtseries.dll) can be deleted ONLY
if the VT-Series AND AT&T 605 emulations are not needed. This file is used
by both the VT-Series and AT&T 605 emulations.
-
With only the ANSI emulation and the Telnet connector installed, the smallest achievable product size is:
- MIPS CPU: 1,184,508 bytes
- SH3 CPU: 1,007,868 bytes
NOTE: The MFCCE20.DLL file must be present for DCS/CE to operate. If it is not already installed
on your device, the DCS/CE installation program automatically installs it. The file size is:
- MIPS CPU: 517,632 bytes
- SH3 CPU: 364,544 bytes
