How to: Serialize Mascot & Increase User Count

It is possible to add more users to your existing versions of MultiView Mascot. To do this you will need to purchase additional Update Activation Key cards from your dealer. Each new Activation Key Card will make an additional set of users available to you. This may result in multiple Activation Key Cards being delivered to meet your specific requirements. Use the new Activation Key Cards with the following simple instructions.

1. Login as super-user (ie root) Ensure all MultiView Mascot users are logged out. This must include PC users who are connected using the Host Support component of MultiView Mascot. You can check if all users are logged out using the mascot -v command.
2. Move to the directory where MultiView Mascot is installed, usually /usr/mvw, and enter the command: bin/mvw.license
3. The system then displays: Enter Serial Number...
   Type your serial number exactly as it appears on your Activation Key Card.
4. The system then displays: Enter Activation Key...
   Type your activation key exactly as it appears on your Activation Key Card. The System will activate the MultiView Mascot product with the new user count.
5. The system then displays: Do you have any other Activation Keys?
   Iif you have been provided with more than one Activation Key card, enter a 'y' and repeat steps 3 & 4 for each card. Your software is now installed and ready for use.
