If your terminal is not listed above, there is a termcap extension file issued with this release which contains a number of widely used terminals. MultiView Mascot will search for your terminal type in this file if it is not in the mvw_termcap file. If the extension file has an entry, MultiView Mascot will operate using this entry, but you should be aware that terminals in this file have not been fully validated and you may therefore encounter problems when using these descriptions, see Configuration Guide, Configuring a New Terminal for assistance. 1.1 ADDS 705. 1.2 AT386. Note, any application that makes use of blue background may be effected by enabling the underscore capability. An example of this is the MultiView Mascot accelerator key help menu, which uses a white foreground on a blue background by default. The blue background will be replaced by the AT386 color consoles default color of white. The effect of this is that the menu will be shown as white on white and therefore no text will be shown. You can change the menu colors as described in the Configuration Guide page 33, Defining colors. 1.3 DEC vt200. 1.4 DEC vt220. 1.4.2 1.5 HP 700/60 & 700/92. 700/60 - Wyse60, vt100 & vt220 (ROM revision C1080-80024-3223 or above) 700/92 - vt100 & vt220. 1.6 IBM 3151/61/63.

(Please refer to the Configuration Guide, Defining colors, page 33,for more information). This color number mismatch only becomes a problem if the numbers themselves are assigned to the variables "foreground" and "background", within the MultiView Mascot command file (MultiView Mascot.rc) COLOR definition section. If they are then the IBM 3164 values should replace standard ISO values. If the standard ISO color names are assigned to the color variables then no problem is posed, as the correct IBM 3164 color values are mapped to the color choices automatically by MultiView Mascot. The IBM 3164 cannot display Cyan, hence if this color is chosen Turquoise is displayed instead.
1.7.4 The 'mvw_termcap' file contains detailed information related to the support provided for all of the terminals in the doc 18 range.

1.9.2
1.10.1 The default data word size for the 928 terminal in vt320 personality is 8-bits. However, the terminal may be operated in both 7-bits and 8-bits modes. If set in 8-bit communications mode, the terminal may also transmit and receive 7-bit characters. If set in 7-bit communications mode, the terminal may only transmit and receive 7-bit characters. For the 928 in vt320 personality to work properly in 8-bit mode, the terminal must communicate with the host in 8-bit mode. To communicate with the host in 8-bit mode, the software settings must be set to 8-bits (i.e. stty cs8 -parity -istrip, or any equivalent parameter(s)). Then from the terminal's Setup Menu, set the Data Length entry from the Port Menu to 8-bits, set the Character Mode and the Control Mode entries from the Emulation Menu to 8-bits. Failure to set up the terminal as described above could result in the screen becoming corrupt when graphics characters are displayed. For more information on the 928 terminal consult your 928 Reference Guide. 1.10.2 As graphics characters are loaded at initialization, if they are lost (by cycling power on the terminal) you must refresh the screen and then reload the graphics if you wish to continue without restarting the MultiView Mascot session.
1.11.1 The default has been changed, as described in the Configuration Guide (page 17), to accommodate this. The new accelerator key is as follows: Help is now <ESC> 6 1.11.2 The t5 termcap entry available on TI System V contains special handling for PC's with color monitors running the 931 emulator. This special handling makes use of colors on the display that are not supported by MultiView Mascot. If you wish to use the t5 entry for other applications you may do so, but you should be aware that it is part of the non-supported terminal capability file, mvw_extensions, and is aliased to the "t9" entry of the mvw_termcap file. 1.11.3 The 924 terminal in 931 emulation mode. The TI 924 terminal does not support the display of the status (message) line. Therefore when operating this terminal in 931 mode, the standard MultiView Mascot softkey line appears on the last line of the screen. 1.12.1 1.12.2 Move is now <ESC> 6 1.13.1 Move is now <ESC> = (equals)
