TFTP Server 2000 provides an Internet-standard TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol) server on any Windows 4.0 PC or server. It
supports all TFTP clients that are RFC 1350-compliant, including those integrated into network devices, such as routers. TFTP
Server 2000 runs as an NT Service and writes to the NT Event Log.
- Multi-threaded design and implementation ensure high performance under all conditions.
- Unlimited simultaneous client requests are supported, restricted only by physical resources.
- Integration with Control Panel provides simple configuration.
- Ability to ignore requests originating from outside local subnetwork increases security.
- Logging capability with configurable level of detail allows for simple problem diagnosis.
- Ability to establish maximum size of log file saves storage space on the server.
- Ability to restrict both uploads and downloads to a particular subdirectory tree provides
greater security.
- Exponential backoff timeout algorithm dynamically selects suitable timeout intervals depending
upon the network conditions.
TFTP Server 2000 is fully compliant with the following Internet RFCs:
- RFC 1123Requirements for Internet Hosts application and support
- RFC 1350The TFTP Protocol (Revision 2)
- RFC 2347TFTP Option Extension
- RFC 2348TFTP Blocksize Option
- RFC 2349TFTP Timeout Interval and Transfer Size Options
