FutureSoft Announces CounterSpy SDK Licensing Agreement With Sunbelt Software

HOUSTON, TX-June 21, 2006

FutureSoft, Inc., the Houston-based Endpoint Security solution provider, today announced that they have entered into an agreement with Sunbelt Software, a leading provider of Windows security solutions, to license the company’s anti-spyware CounterSpy™ SDK and threat database for integration with FutureSoft’s endpoint security solution, DynaComm i:scan.

The agreement, part of FutureSoft’s Endpoint Security Alliance announced earlier this year, will enable FutureSoft to leverage CounterSpy’s threat database within DynaComm i:scan, to remotely scan and remove spyware from PCs and servers across the network. The anti-spyware engine will operate alongside and enhance the existing capabilities of DynaComm i:scan. The product already protects business networks against such problems as “day zero attacks”, unsecured USB devices, P2P file sharing, unauthorized application use, adult image storage and intellectual property theft.

“We’re very excited to begin this relationship with Sunbelt Software,” said FutureSoft CEO and co-chairman, Tim Farrell. “By incorporating their threat database into DynaComm i:scan, we are able to provide our customers with a powerful endpoint security solution that provides enhanced spyware protection and addresses the other concerns of network administrators and security officers.”

This collaboration breaks new ground in combining security solutions that address different aspects of malware and endpoint security into a single solution. The combination of the two sets of technologies will provide a multi-layered response, something analysts agree is the most secure approach to complex security threats within business networks.

“Our best-of-breed anti-spyware detection and remediation technology working alongside FutureSoft’s endpoint management software gives administrators a unique and comprehensive solution,” said Alex Eckelberry, president of Sunbelt Software. “Both organizations focus on what they do best, and the end result is a set of endpoint management and security tools that effectively address adware, spyware and other malware threats on the desktop.”

New versions of DynaComm i:scan will include the enhanced anti-spyware engine and will be available over the summer from FutureSoft and their partners. Existing DynaComm i:scan customers with up to date support agreements will receive the new version for no additional charge.
