FutureSoft Strengthens Enterprise Spam and E-mail Filter Houston, TX-August 18, 2004 FutureSoft, Inc., the Houston based maker of the DynaComm i:series Enterprise Content Security software family, today announced the release of DynaComm i:mail version 5.0. This release includes several new features designed to facilitate easier spam management in large organizations. Among these new features is a user-based quarantine review, in which end-users can review and process mail held for them in the spam quarantine. This feature, delivered through a simple Web interface, enables end users to securely review all quarantined mail and either deliver or delete it for themselves, ensuring that no wanted mail is blocked and without the need to involve the e-mail administrator. This latest version of DynaComm i:mail also includes the capability to create custom heuristic analysis rules for known spam techniques. These enable the mail filter to recognize and deal with spam mail even before it is delivered, by identifying certain unique traits in the message. This reduces the workload on both the mail server and the end user. A number of predefined heuristic DynaComm i:series products. Rick Mansel, President and CEO of FutureSoft said of this release, “Staying ahead of spammers is a constant challenge, and we work hard to ensure that users of DynaComm i:mail have the very best level of protection possible. With the new features in DynaComm i:mail version 5.0, administrators can be assured that they are fully protected against incoming spam and, at the same time, ensure they aren’t accidentally blocking e-mail that should be allowed through. It’s a unique combination of capabilities that gives DynaComm i:mail its attraction to our large enterprise customers.” In addition to the enhanced spam management capabilities in version 5.0, FutureSoft has added a new feature to ensure that organizations deploying DynaComm i:mail never become spammers themselves. This feature, called “Opt-out List Compliance,” automatically tracks and manages recipients who no longer wish to receive e-mail from the sender. Mansel continued, “Businesses take their reputations very seriously, and no reputable organization would want to continue to send e-mail to recipients who have requested that they be removed from mailing lists, for example. This compliance management capability, introduced for the first time with DynaComm i:mail Version 5.0, automatically provides protection to both sender and recipient, ensuring both parties are fully protected. It’s an essential component of any enterprise-focused e-mail management solution.” This latest version of DynaComm i:mail also includes additional reporting and message handling options to provide administrators with greater visibility to mail traffic as well enhanced capacity to deal with malformed or damaged mail.
