If you are implementing the Domain Controller Agent user lookup within DynaComm i:filter, this utility will verify that the DC Agent is installed/working properly. Download the file, attached below, to the i:filter machine.

Run the attached dctest.exe from a command line. This app will prompt you for a domain controller where you may enter the IP address or host name of one of your domain controllers. Next the app will prompt you for the client IP or hostname to lookup.

The DCAgent should return to you the version of DCAgent as well as the domain\username and SID associated with the user logged into the client machine. If at least the version information is returned, the DCAgent is running. If no version information is returned, the DCAgent is not running.

Keep in mind that environments with multiple domain controllers must have the DCAgent installed on each domain controller. DCTest.exe cannot query more than one domain controller at a time so you may need to run your test against several domain controllers.

**Note** This application is not supported and is only provided "as is" for help troubleshooting the DCAgent. Should DCTest.exe hang during use please press CTRL-C or close the command prompt session to exit the application.
